English, Mathematics and Science form the core subjects at all levels. In addition, pupils attend classes in Islamic Studies and Arabic, which take up around ten percent of pupils' time. Examinations
School examinations are taken by pupils annually in order to assess their educational achievements. In addition, external examinations (SATS & GCSE ), which are marked by outside examiners, take place at the end of each Key Stage (Year 2, 6 9 ) and GCSE in Year 11. Parental Involvement and Responsibility Parents are expected to follow the development of their children and to assess their continuing progress. Each child is given a Homework diary, parents are required to monitor on daily basis and sign weekly. This is another form of communication between the teachers and parents.

Library
Abul-Waleed Muhammad ibn Rushd(1128-1198 AD ) |
Pupils are taken to the library during lessons and encouraged to seek information from the many reference books stored there. The library helps a child's cognitive development and aids in the completion of topic work and research. It contains video tapes on Islam and other subjects as well as audio tapes of Arabic books. New books are constantly being added to expand the library. There is also a video room containing educational materials that are available to pupils, as well as audio-visual facilities and equipment for learning foreign languages, such as French. The Library, which also contains a wide range of encyclopaedias, is accessible to pupils who may wish to borrow materials. |
